radiokill's Journals on Buzznet

Some call me Aly. I call myself stubborn, anxious, and sarcastic. I'm the kind of person that loves luxurious, expensive food, but can enjoy a frozen dinner just as much. Comedy and music are a major release for me; music has helped me through many struggles. I can't handle posers, or country music. My friends would say I'm quiet at school, but when we hang out, I'm usually the loud one. Concerts are one of the best places to be sometimes. I have a strange obsession with hair products and dyed hair. My family and friends mean the absolute world to me, and so do my pets. I guzzle water like it's the only liquid left on Earth. I listen to a wide variety of music, and don't have a single favorite genre. I overthink many situations, and get offended very easily. AFI is in my opinion, a huge lifesaver and my life. Without them, I don't know what I'd do. I don't know how to express my love for them enough. I'm Aly, and I am all of these things.

I mean, I am not at all trying to say that what I listen to is the best music there is, but people that listen to a certain genre or band just because that's what's "cool" right now or just to "fit in", it really rubs me the wrong way. Find music that YOU can relate to and feel is right for you, don't let others decide that for you because it's a decision that is much too important for anyone but you to choose.

Needless to say, I'll log on here and there, but I won't really post anything.

Good evening, all!

I'm coming at you from a freezing hotel room. The weather outside is beautiful though, but for some reason they have the air conditioner blasting. I just ate some terribly below average pasta at a place called Buttercup Grill. The lemonade was pretty good though. It's taking forever to write this journal, because everytime I make a mistake the backspace key likes to taunt me and erase one letter every ten minutes. I'm texting too, which I'm finding out that I should probably cut back on. Did I mention it was minus 200 degrees in here? I'm afraid I'm getting frostbite.

Did anyone listen to the boys on Loveline last Monday? Comments, concerns, humor? I thought it was pretty funny, considering you don't hear them talk like that everyday. I don't think I can really wait until fall of this year for Crash Love, especially when I was originally expecting a summer release. And of course you've got to love Dr. Drew... He's much better on the radio than he is on television though.

Back to the hotel, I guess. It's really nice. I think I stayed at one like this after I went to the Download Festival. Gosh I wish I knew where the blankets were.

English projects and finals are coming up! I don't have to take the finals if I keep receiving A's on all of my Latin tests, though, which is good. But the project is what's going to leave me mentally torn and physically stressed. It's the end of the year and I really don't feel like working anymore, just sleeping. I am so incredibly sleep deprived at the moment. I just go to bed too late.

Oh yeah, one more thing. I think since I'm not as active anymore on here, it seems like everyone kind of thought I completely left. I did not, but with all of the finals and exams and projects I'll be working on for the next month, I definitely won't be on here that much, but I won't leave any time soon.

Fizzgig pride.

I went and saw a local production of Beauty and the Beast Sunday. Such a great play! All the songs have been stuck in my head. Three of the cast members are in my choir as well. I miss doing plays, I just really, really hate auditions. Instead of singing, I wish they'd just do the cold readings. Those are so much fun.

We started a book called Nothing But The Truth in English. It's in script format, I like it. A lot easier to read since I'm such a slow reader. I tried reading The Catcher in the Rye, but I'm so slow I wasn't even interested anymore. I just finished a book called Come Closer by Sara Gran, about demon possession. It was fictional of course, but still very twisted.

I talked to one of my best friends through my window today. It was interesting and quite humorous. She was on her way to Jack in the Box, so she decided to stop and say hi.

Short updates, but I ran out of time. For more, check my Twitter. Oh, how I hate that website, but ... whatever.

Yours truly.

I am so pleasantly distracted by the fancy options the blogs have now. I am facinated by the new toolbar. So I guess I will decide on Tahoma. Which brings me to, who gets to decide the name of fonts anyways? What is the inspiration for the names they are given? Working for Microsoft (presumably) they probably make bank just for yelling out things in their sleep that could be used as a font name. I've never really thought about this.

Okay, so it's time for the updates.

I just ate a breakfast sandwich at 3 PM. Those freezer ones are especially tasty.

I'm going on a trip next week to California, so if I'm even more so late with replying to notes and whatnot, that's why. I will of course be bringing my laptop, but I don't really know the details of the availability of WiFi connection, so the time on spent on it might be sparse. I'll be gone for about a week, so if I can take pictures with my phone and send them here, I will, as my camera USB isn't compatible with my age old laptop.

Next Wednesday I am planning on getting 10" extensions for my hair, because waiting for it to grow to its desirable length is comparable to watching a house's paint dry while raining. If anyone has any tips or valuable information for extensions (they will be glue-in) I would really appreciate it if you wouldn't mind sharing, because I am new with this.

I also watched Toy Story in art today, for studying animation, and I forgot how great of a movie that is. The best part of the entire movie is Buzz exclaiming, "I'M MRS. NEZZBITT!" When you watch that movie when you're four, you don't exactly catch on to a lot of the adult humor they threw in there. Speaking of, I thought Surf's Up was hilarious, it almost wasn't even a kid's movie. It still doesn't compare to Toy Story though.

What are you all reading right now? I'm reading A Brother's Journey: Surviving A Childhood of Abuse, the brother of the man who wrote A Child Called It. I personally think most of it is a marketing ploy for the book to sell, which is highly disappointing but these are intriguing works of fiction if mostly exaggerated. But who am I to know? I wasn't there.

Happy early or possibly late Spring Break.

I already did one of these a while back, but I think I deleted it, so I'm going to fill out a new one. This one features some new questions, I think. Besides, I have some new songs on my iPod.

(By the way, my iPod is fairly new, and I haven't converted over half of my music to its format yet, so if there's a lot of songs by AFI on here, that's why. I only have roughly 200 songs on it right now and the majority is them, because they're quite essential to me and are downloaded first, teehee.)

So I'm putting my iPod on shuffle and here goes!

1. How are you feeling today?
Kiss and Control - AFI
(See, what did I tell you.)

2. Will you get far in life?
Our Time Now - Plain White T's

3. How do your friends see you?
Porphyria - AFI
(Yes, a disease.)

4. Will you get married?
How To Save A Life - The Fray

5. What is your best friend's theme song?
Days of the Phoenix - AFI
(I really do think that sometimes.)

6. What is the story of your life?
You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison - My Chemical Romance
(I have a bright future I see, that involves prison.)

7. What was high school like?
Love Like Winter - AFI
(Weird, that song never comes on shuffle.)

8. How can you get ahead in life?
Halloween - AFI, Misfits Cover
(Yeah, I need more music on here.)

9. What is the best thing about your friends?
Crushcrushcrush (Final Riot! DVD/CD) - Paramore

10. To describe your grandparents?
Snuff On Digital - Blaqk Audio
(Oh my.)

11. How is your life going?
Bleed Black - AFI
(Just peachy, apparently.)

12. What song will they play at your funeral?
Spaceman - The Killers
(They're all going to party!)

13. How does the world see you?
At A Glance - AFI
(Whoa, that's crazy, what a coincidence.)

14. Will you have a happy life?
Where Would You Like Them Left? - Blaqk Audio

15. What do your friends really think of you?
Fences (Final Riot! DVD/CD) - Paramore

16. Do people secretly lust after you?
A Story At Three - AFI

17. How can I make myself happy?
The Leaving Song Pt. II - AFI
(By just leaving!)

18. What should you do with your life?
He Who Laughs Last - AFI

19. Will you ever have children?
Miss Murder - AFI

20. What song would you strip to?
Endlessly, She Said - AFI
(Because that's sexy.)

21. If a man in a van offered you candy, what would you do?
When It Rains (Final Riot! DVD/CD) - Paramore

22. What does your mom think of you?
The Boy Who Destroyed The World - AFI
(I'm NOT a boy.)

23. What is your deep dark secret?
House of Wolves - My Chemical Romance

24. What is your mortal enemy's theme song?
Stiff Kittens - Blaqk Audio
(Threatening!)

25. What's your personality like?
Decode - Paramore
(Frighteningly accurate.)

26. Which song will be played at your wedding?
Drop Out - The So Unknown - Jack's Mannequin
(That's pretty, I guess.)

27. If you were to become the Dictator of a small Eastern-European nation, would you be a benevolent Dictator?
Interlude - My Chemical Romance

28. What are your aspirations?
The Last Kiss - AFI

29. What goes through your head when you wake up?
My Hero - Paramore, Foo Fighters Cover

Okay, that's it.
You can go back surfing the web now.

Okay, since I don't plan on making this post very long, so I'll just do my bulleted list like normal. I'd do a longer one, but I just can't get myself to do that right now.

I'm listening to 'Poker Face' by Lady Gaga at the moment. It's a tragic thing, but this is just so catchy that I have to listen to it. The lyrics are exceptionally terrible, but whatever. I have to have some sort of guilty pleasure I guess. I wouldn't buy her album though.

I just finished reading this book titled, 'Such A Pretty Girl' by Laura Wiess, I wish everyone could get their hands on it. The writing style is amazing and so is the storyline. It's a huge eye opener to child abuse and molestation.

I'm having fun with these bullets.

I'm anxiously awaiting Crash Love. Even so that I had a bizarre dream that they played a quarter of a set at a local grocery store. They didn't even finish. It was kind of disappointing, but thrilling at the same time.

I'm contemplating what to buy with my iTunes gift card. Any suggestions? I need them, please and thank you.

Good night, Buzznet. I've got to get up early.
